Job Function: Product Development Engineering (40000045)
Job Description -
Responsible and accountable to maintain OEE of all the machines in the assigned area
Responsible for developing and implementing quality control plans for the various equipment
Provide day to day direction / strategic direction to a small team of engineers
Optimize machine parameters to improve quality and delivery
Develop and implement stamping and forming dies / tooling
Develop and implement SMED / Changeover reduction projects
Work hand in hand with other lead engineers to improve horizontal expansion of the various improvements
Responsible and accountable for delivering Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery Improvement targets for the team
Develop and Implement Autonomous Maintenance , Preventative Maintenance and Focused Approach Projects within your technical areas.
Monitor and report status of engineering changes on the floor
Lead major and advanced kaizens
Learn and be a trainer on various WCM tools
Train supervisor, team leads, and operators
Develop and implement Capital and expense projects to reduce risk to the business.
Work with various levels of the organization (Advanced Manufacturing, Central Manufacturing, New Product Launch, Engineering Platform) to implement new technologies at the plant.
Responsible for leading a small team of engineers to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets for the Tooling and Fabrication Technology using WCM (Lean Manufacturing) methodology
Mentor / develop engineers within your team
Supervise over hourly / skilled trades employees
Required Qualificatiions -
Hands-on knowledge of stamping and forming processes
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial)
8+ years of industry experience
Proven success with leading equipment / process improvement projects from inception to completion
Supervisory experience over hourly / skilled trades employees
Preferred Qualifications -
Masters degree in Engineering
Require a comprehensive knowledge of the use of advanced manufacturing techniques
Thorough understanding of world class manufacturing tools / methods specifically professional maintenance, autonomous maintenance, and focused improvement
Well developed communication, conflict management, coaching, interpersonal, and team building skills
Six sigma training / certification
