Lead Engineer - Java

3Ci Overview:

Our Client's Operator Technology Solutions division is seeking a talented Lead Developer to work on systems utilized by restaurant employees and owner/operators. The role involves heavy Java backend development in an AWS environment, focusing on microservices and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of software development experience, with 1-2 years in a lead role. Opportunity to lead in the consulting division and work closely with a premier Client.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8+ years of software development experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a lead role

• Proficiency in Java, AWS, microservices, and containers (Kubernetes preferred)

• Experience with unit testing, build and release processes

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience with Agile practices

• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities:

• Writing code 70-90% of the time initially, transitioning to a 50/50 split between coding and leading a team of 1-3 developers

• Following Agile practices and communicating effectively with stakeholders

• Providing modern practices related to design patterns, tools, and techniques

• Serving as a subject matter expert in application development and solutions

• Leading and mentoring a team of developers

• Accomplishing project milestones within designated timeframes

Accomplishments:

• Within 30 days: Get acquainted with the environment, team, and initial project tasks

• Within 90 days: Provide development on the initial project and start providing leadership to at least one developer

• Within 1 year: Continue in the lead role, contributing to project success
