Skecher's Digital Team is seeking a Lead Engineer

  • Global eCommerce Platform reporting to the Director, Digital eCommerce Architecture. As the Lead Engineer

  • Global eCommerce Platform, you will lead a team of digital engineers to deliver a high-powered, cutting-edge web-based application to support the rapid growth of global eCommerce running Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware). You will work collaboratively with product owners, vendors, and business stakeholders to develop and create enterprise-level web applications that are both scalable and robust. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, have full-stack hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Essential Job Results

  • Drive issue resolution directly, and coordinate both internal and external resources.

  • Work with the team on best practices for agile development including estimating stories, grooming backlog, and breaking down epics.

  • Work with the product owner and business stakeholders to define feature requirements and set priorities.

  • Deep understanding of test-driven development.

  • Ensure the quality of the platform codebase by actively reviewing every change.

  • Partner with architects within cross-functional teams to discuss long-term technology strategy and provide objective information and data to help inform and drive critical technology decisions.

  • Eliminate impediments to allow the development team to focus on their tasks.

  • Manage projects, workflow, and development roadmap to keep the development team organized, efficient, and optimally running.

  • Mentor team individuals to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs and develop their careers.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deep Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C (Demandware) is required.

  • Certifications in Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C.

  • Deep Knowledge of digital commerce components such as users, catalog, pricing, inventory, marketing, order, and payment.

  • Knowledge of digital commerce integration such as CMS, DAM, PIM, OMS, and ERP.

  • Expert knowledge in JavaScript, CSS, HTML and server side development.

  • Knowledge of relational, non-relational databases, and SQL.

  • Knowledge with CI / CD in Jenkins.

  • Experience with Git source control and collaboration tool such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack/Microsoft Teams.

  • Experience agile development methodology.

  • Experience with web frameworks, interactive web development, responsive web design.

  • Experience with site speed optimization.

  • Experience and working knowledge of secure development practices.

  • Experience with AWS is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in both frontend and backend development on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • 3 - 7 years of development management experience.

The salary range for this position is $125,000-$190,000 USD per year.
