Foot Locker's Store & Workplace Services team is driving digital transformation in our retail store and corporate environments. The Lead Workplace Engineer will join an energized technology team focused on driving innovation and operational excellence, while providing modern customer and employee experiences for our Corporate and Retail associates. As the lead, you will serve as part of a talented team of Engineers who demonstrate on a daily basis best in class practices, excellent technical and procedural competences, and who continuously set the bar to the highest level of expectation for themselves and the workplace products they are responsible for. This team is highly customer service driven and the lead engineer will take them to the next level of excellence. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others, and display the highest level of knowledge for Digital Workplace.
Lead and implement gold standard administration, engineering, and product strategies for Foot Locker's Digital Workplace Engineering portfolio.
Lead technical discussions with stakeholders that drive decisions and planning, provide project updates to all stakeholders.
Manage workload for Engineering team by leveraging intake, implementation, routine and incident work.
Active participation in creating new documentation as well as updating previously created documents. Assistance in creating and enforcing the documentation standards set by the Technology Services team.
Design and implement other aspects of environment, legal hold, group management, development patterns, Business specific needs, etc.
Deliver the highest level of operational excellence for applications and systems as needed.
Provide mentorship and communication to the team - work to empower service teams to provide an elite standard of support for our end user community.
Must be able to use problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems, drive to root cause, develop, and implement solutions.
Lead and support the Digital Workplace overall strategy and vision.
Must have 5+ years of experience in Workplace technology
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study
Excellent leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with limited direction
Must have experience leading others, with a proven ability to mentor and coach others
Availability for the support of applications and systems outside of a normal workday (as needed)
Proactive in making recommendations in process and technology improvements
Authentic passion and commitment to excellence
A passion for people, partners, customer service, and technology is critical
Experience with Microsoft PowerShell
Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365); threat protection, identity & access management, device management, information protection, advanced compliance, and analytics
Working knowledge of IT security concepts
Working knowledge of IT networking concepts
Working knowledge of ITIL processes.
