This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead innovative tasks in support of Army Electronic Warfare (EW) programs to enhance the Army's posture in complex and hybrid-warfare environments. The growing focus on near-peer adversaries and advances in C5ISR technologies has led the Army to increase their support on developing, integrating, and deploying non-kinetic techniques to Army Aviation and Ground assets. MITRE provides recommendations through analysis and pragmatic research for new technologies to counter the emerging threat. This work will be at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG) and include numerous functions and synchronization with a variety of Army and DoD organizations.
Candidates will work on a wide range of engineering challenges, including areas such as:
Develop technical white papers/briefings
Analyze use cases and identify related needs and requirement
Assess performance of systems and architectures against current requirements to identify gaps and prototype innovative solutions
Perform integration, testing and verification of candidate systems as well as the overall architecture
The candidate needs to have a Master of Science degree in a technical field (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred), or at least 8 years of related experience, with a focus on electronic warfare, wireless communications or other relevant technical discipline.
The candidate should have a working knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
EW trends, threats, and trade-space
Hands-on experience and familiarity with DoD EW systems and RF Propagation physics
Modeling & Simulation techniques with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent
Current commercial wireless communications technologies and/or Radar technology
Basic digital signal processing theory understanding
The candidate should have

Good verbal and written communication skills
An ability to lead and facilitate a variety of technical discussions with both operational and technical personnel
Ability to engage with and make recommendations to senior Army sponsors
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance which will require US citizenship.
