The Military Avionics COE has an immediate opportunity for several Electrical Engineers as we grow our Phoenix organization. You will be part of a connected, global team of experts innovating and developing advance technology Avionics that deliver robust, safe, and high value solutions to our customers. As Lead Electrical Engineer, you'll be a critical member of a team that researches, designs, develops and integrates Military Avionics Electronics developed for Military Displays and Mission Processors within Honeywell's Military Avionics Center of Excellence.

You will be a key technical focal point across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will drive electrical hardware design direction and methodology developments. Job activities include digital and analog circuit card design and analysis, FPGA/CPLD development, design specification development, bid and proposal support, engaging with external suppliers, support of customer site visits, and drive advance research initiatives for developing advance design technologies for future systems. As an engineering technical expert, you will leverage advanced development tools to deliver leading edge technology that produces high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for junior engineers.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar degree
  • US Citizenship
  • 10+ Years Electrical Engineering Experience

WE VALUE

  • Expert knowledge of Digital/Analog EDA development tools such as Hyperlynx, Xpedition

  • Basic knowledge or direct experience with FPGA development utilizing EDA tools from Xilinx, Altera, and/or Microsemi

  • Experience in developing robust products for harsh military environments

  • Experience in supporting proposals that provide high value solutions

  • Strong team leadership and customer focus

  • Continuous Growth, Innovation, and Engagement in Industry Technical Conferences and Consortiums

  • Military Experience

  • Engineering Master's Degree

Role Overview: This position is for a senior Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Directs activities in the discipline and represents the organization at external events.
