Lead Digital Project Manager

The Digital Project Manager will coordinate completion of various data projects related to Order to Delivery Processes in Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division. The successful candidate must have the business and manufacturing background to collaborate with business unit professionals to understand how data can solve business problems. The successful candidate must also have the technical capabilities to work independently or collaboratively with tools from the fields of information technology, data management, and data science to develop solutions to the business problems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Develop data strategies in support of large process improvement projects

• Create and deploy data solutions to order to delivery processes with focus on Supply Chain

• Understand and document business application requirements

• Direct completion of work by other data professionals

• Manage project plans and task completions for data projects

• Collaborative application of data science methodologies to business problems

• Creation and support of processes related to capture, storage, use, analytics of order to delivery data

• Collaboration with data professionals inside and outside of Caterpillar

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 Year Degree or Equivalent Experience in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or Business and 5 year of relevant experience

• Database proficiencies with SQL and/or other

• Microsoft PowerSuites Experience (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps)

• Experience managing data projects and deliverables

Top Candidates will also have:

• Supply Chain experience

• Data Science familiarity and capacity to learn

• Understanding of IT procedures relating to hardware, networks, & security to interface with IT professionals on needed solutions

• Experience supporting order to delivery processes

• Analytical mindset to appropriately apply complex data to solving problems

• Capability and willingness to learn and apply statistical and data science methodologies to manufacturing processes

• Project Management / Agile training

• Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN

• This position may require up to 10% travel.
