Our Innovative and Industry Leading client is searching for a DevOps Tech Lead to help with the modernization and scratch implementation of Jenkins and GIT into an enterprise environment.

The DevOps Lead will work in a 50/50 Hands on vs. Lead capacity, helping with the migration to a modernized CI/CD enterprise.

All the tools have been purchased, now its time to implement, integrate and execute. One project you may lead during this integration is a total rewrite to Jenkins, and helping champion the Jenkins tool with team members in the environment.

Rate: $60.00 - $75.00/hr C2C or W2 BOE (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k Benefits)

Requirements for DevOps Lead :
Strong DevOps Road Mapping, POC, and Architecture backgrounds
Experience leading DevOps teams to success
Strong Jenkins & GitHub expertise required
Generalized expertise in DevOps methodology & tooling
Passion for DevOps, Modernizing Enterprise Environments, and thought leadership.
Hands on with scripting Perl, Python, Groovy
Experience working with open systems platforms required (Red Hat Linux, Windows, AIX)
Artifact Repository experience required, JFrog/Xray recommended
Chef experience and background creating cookbooks

Position Summary This is the specialist level of the Engineering role. The Lead Engineer in HRM will be expected to solve complex problems, manage work, and provide leadership to others in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for unreviewed work. They are also expected to have advanced skills and have the ability to work independently. The Lead Engineer for HRM is within the Transmission Engineering Asset Management, Asset Information & Intelligence Group. This position will support the Transmission Health & Risk Management (HRM) program and all of its parts including: IMA, CBM, C3 ioT Applications, and any related source systems. With Minimal Supervision and Increased Latitude for Unreviewed Work: Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of complex problems in the following areas: analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, Transmission asset maintenance, test data interpretation, CBM monitoring, OSI PI Historians, SCADA, and/or failure prediction. The candidate must possess the ability and expertise to visualize long-term results and assess impacts across a system-wide basis with a One Transmission attitude. This position will play a key role in determining the optimal application of new technology and technical analysis necessary to realize full value of the HRM platform and applications to the business. Key activities for this position include: (1) Manage and maintain the near real time data sources from OSI PI Historians for both CBM and SCADA data (2) Development and refinement of predictive maintenance, failure, and sparing algorithms and models for Transmission assets within HRM. (3) Support the exploration and creation of machine learning models within the HRM platform for Transmission assets. (4) Represent Duke Energy Transmission as an expert with Industry groups such as but not limited to: IEEE, UAI, NATF, EPRI, and others. Individuals in this position will assist in evaluating the technical aspects of the HRM program development & deployment, prioritization of new assets added to HRM, condition based maintenance requirements, replacement program prioritization, KPI tracking, failure tracking, and documentation requirements. This role will support all other groups within Transmission Asset Management in the management of the health of our assets, establishment of the risk held, and development and execution of mitigation planning. Responsibilities Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: SME Support (Asset Management – Analytics – Transmission Support) Provides engineering expertise and guidance: (1) Identification, analysis and resolution of Transmission Asset Health Issues w/ Analytics. (2) Ability to visualize and execute plans with long-term results Assess impacts on a system-wide basis HRM Program Development/Maintenance Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures; demonstrates ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes and develops standards relevant to area of assignment. Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives where: (1) Limited if any standardization exists (2) Limited supervision or direction is available Engagement and agreement is required by multiple stakeholders HRM Analytics Development/Maintenance Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures; demonstrates ability to analyze and develop technical methods of analysis for the Transmission Engineering Asset Health and Risk Management (HRM) program. Keeps abreast of new innovations, technology, engineering, developments, technologies procedures and equipment. CBM Program Development/Maintenance Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures; demonstrates ability to analyze and develop technical methods of analysis for the Transmission Engineering Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) program. Keeps abreast of new innovations, technology, engineering, developments, technologies procedures and equipment. SME Support (Asset Management – OSI PI – Transmission Support) Provides technical expertise and guidance for OSI PI Historians: (1) Identification, analysis and resolution of Transmission OSI PI Historians. (2) Ability to visualize and execute plans with long-term results. Assess impacts on a system-wide basis General Asset Management Time Training, Administrative, Safety, etc. Working Conditions * Corporate office or plant environment Basic/Required Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Engineering obtained from an ABET accredited program, and/OR state registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
