Job Summary

This Dealer Performance Consulting Lead is responsible for executing the Dealer Operations Consulting team's strategy to build an accountable, performance driven, dealer culture that drives increased sales, implements retail best practices and delivers impeccable customer experiences in alignment with Harley-Davidson's strategic imperatives and growth plans. The incumbent supports the continued development and implementation of dealer best practices and the implementation and sharing of these best practices throughout the dealer network. Additionally, the Lead executes a strategy that measurably improves the Parts & Accessory (P&A) and General Merchandise (GM) sales and profitability of participating dealers. This is accomplished by coordinating Motor Company resources across Divisions, helping with the Performance Consulting meetings, third party moderators, and budget.

Job Responsibilities

  • Consults one-on-one with dealers on sales processes, lead follow-up and prospecting, department goal setting and planning, as well as customer experience enhancement. A company advocate and expert on how to successfully implement dealer capabilities through specific measurements to improve dealer operations and profit.

  • Works with key stakeholder to proactively identify and implement innovative new approaches/practices.

  • Maintains a level of interaction with the end-customer that allows this position to ensure that the strategic sales direction developed by this role is appropriately implemented.

  • Partners with stakeholders to enhance the customer experience through the growth to the Dealer Network's P&A and GM sales and inventory management capabilities.

  • Promotes collaborating across the company to develop and design the associated marketing efforts for the country market and regional sales, to create awareness and understanding of the value of performance consulting

  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining and delivering P&A and GM processes and inventory management acumen and execution to support the achievement of P&A and GM retail and wholesale sales objectives.

  • Supports efforts to cascade learnings and best practices through HDU tools, field training and communications, and dealer network wide initiatives to facilitate best practice sharing to affect change and increase sales.

Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field

  • Masters Degree in business is desired

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience

  • Strong understanding of dealership financial systems/operations

  • Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Experience working directly with dealership staff, preferably dealership owners and managers

  • Ability to develop effective business relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders both internal and external

  • Ability to understand dealer issues and respond diplomatically

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Position requires up to 75% travel

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and the dealer network Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred:

  • Retail Experience in like industry preferred (automotive, motorcycle)
  • P&A and/or GM experience in like industry preferred (automotive, motorcycle)

Job Summary The Sales and Operations Planning Lead role is responsible for providing leadership using an influential leadership style with US Product Sales focused on general merchandise. This position will lead teams through the coordination and development of the integrated US retail and wholesale forecasts with relevant stakeholders to maximize revenue growth in the US. It will also interface with cross functional areas of the company to help grow the GM business.
