"We are looking for a passionate, technically curious Database Engineering professional to join our fast-paced myFICO.com team. This top-notch team provides the technical leadership to keep FICO's leading myFICO brand in the lead for credit scoring. Role/Responsibilities:

  • Design Database objects, write and optimize SQL queries, and stored procedures for the myFICO.com consumer scores business.

  • Create reports and dashboards using SQL and Tableau.

  • Create scripts to automate data transfers.

  • Automate, Schedule and Run daily, weekly and monthly reports.

  • Troubleshoot database related issues such as latency and record blocking.

  • Create, manage, and administer databases in the AWS Cloud.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent area of study.

  • Expertise in hands on database development with a majority of experience in SQL Server.

  • Experience working in multiple DBMS technologies, including but not limited to MS SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Replication, and related tools.

  • Ability to adeptly script in SQL scripting, stored procedures and construct highly complex queries.

  • Proficiency in SQL tuning and query optimization techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with SQLServer 2014, indexing, capabilities, transact-SQL, and performance tuning.

  • Understand the concepts of STAR, data cleansing, transformation and aggregations.

  • Demonstrated experience using Data Visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, MS SSAS/SSRS.

  • Deep understanding of how to effectively run databases in AWS Cloud.

  • Thrives in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

  • Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing technologies including Hadoop, SQL-on-Hadoop a big plus.
