CSQ125R119While candidates in the listed location(s) are encouraged for this role, candidates in other locations will be considered.As a Staff/ Lead Data Scientist - Technical Curriculum Development, you'll apply your expertise in machine learning and passion for enabling others to lead the design and development of enablement content that showcases the cutting-edge and industry-disrupting machine learning features of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.This is an opportunity for you to stay on top of Databricks latest and greatest features and be the voice that enables our global customers, partners, and fellow Bricksters to use the Data Intelligence Platform best. In this role, you'll work with the Databricks product and engineering teams, subject-matter experts, and global stakeholders to take product updates and best practices and create high-impact technical enablement material through instructor-led, self-paced, and blended offerings.In terms of your day-to-day work, you'll make a name for yourself at Databricks by being the point of contact for all things related to machine learning enablement. You'll (1) regularly engage in SME and product meetings, (2) work with our learning architecture team to fully understand business requirements for machine learning content (3) oversee and design scalable learning offerings for the machine learning portfolio, and (4) work with a team of global stakeholders, product managers, engineers, subject-matter-experts, and other curriculum developers to build this content.The impact you will have:*
  • Serve as the trusted advisor/owner of machine learning enablement at Databricks * Provide technical leadership to guide curriculum initiatives on machine learning * Work with subject-matter-experts and learning architects to scope and build machine learning enablement material to enable our global customers, partners, and employeesWhat we look for:*
  • Passion/experience for sharing knowledge and expertise to enable others* 3+ years of hands-on industry ML experience in at least one of the following:* ML Engineer: Build and maintain production-grade cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) infrastructure that supports the deployment of ML applications, including drift monitoring. * Data Scientist: Experience with the latest techniques in natural language processing including vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, and deploying LLMs with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, etc.) or equivalent practical experience * Experience communicating and/or teaching technical concepts to non-technical and technical audiences alike * Passion for collaboration, life-long learning, and driving business value through ML* [Preferred] Experience working with Apache Spark to process large-scale distributed databasesBenefits * Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision* 401(k) Plan * Equity awards * Flexible time off * Paid parental leave * Family Planning * Gym reimbursement * Annual personal development fund * Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
