Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is collaborating with Tesla Motors, Inc. in a large-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility known as the Gigafactory near Reno, Nevada which is known for its quality of life and expansive outdoor adventures. Panasonic manufactures and supplies cylindrical lithium-ion cells for the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla Motors, Inc. Based on the battery demand from Tesla, the Gigafactory plans to produce cells which will double the world's current production.

Primary Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for proposing overall strategy for the unit (e.g. BI tools/databases).
Lead the definition of data requirements, database, data aggregation, data processing, documentation, and analysis procedures.
Evaluates capabilities and limitations of new and existing technical tools and systems and recommends improvements to processes and data flow.
Lead analysts on customer projects, reviewing, validating, and guiding test plans, data collection, and analysis.
Develops and generates highly complex reports to address specific business needs.
Lead/manage major projects to ensure that information applications are implemented or upgraded to meet business requirements.
Responsible for proposing solutions, identify goals and develop plans for business requirements/interdepartmental projects.
Oversee and/or conduct investigations and analysis to design solutions for projects and/or data system issues.
Conduct and continuously improve an ongoing program to ensure reliability, validity and integrity of the data used in BI Tools and database.
Education & Experience
Certifications in system administration required.
Programming skills required (ex. Python, SQL, Java, C++, etc.)
BI/Statistical Analysis Software proficiency preferred (ex: Tableau, JMP, ARCGIS, etc.)
High understanding of platforms (ex. Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
Understanding of SDLC preferred
End-to-end experience with data: querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization
Must be able to learn and understand equipment capabilities, operation flow, and data flow logics.
Must be detailed oriented.
Must be able to walk through out the factory extensively.
Excellent communication skills required.
