We are looking for an Senior Systems Engineer who is ready to take that step to lead the IT Data Center.
In this role, you will manage complex IT technical initiatives and professional services for the data center environments. You thrive on working in a highly technical environment where innovation, planning, and communication is key to success. Youll also work with internal and external partners and managed service providers to drive effectiveness, efficiency and where applicable, collaborate on use of technology that enables work to shift to benefit the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:
Optimize performance and availability of IT services
Successfully deliver IT managed services that meet established SLAs
Manage costs through tactical resource planning, active ownership of IT assets/contracts, and close management of vendor relationship
Actively contribute to innovation and drive development of technology roadmaps through collaboration with all levels of the enterprise.
Partner with internal IT teams and 3rd party providers including world class CoLo data center providers to ensure the consistent, reliable, timely and cost effective infrastructure service delivery
Architect and oversee Layer 1 and 2 network infrastructure to offer maximum level uptime and availability
Establish and enforce best practices and serve as internal business partner for IT teams, Facilities, Real Estate and Physical Security teams
Partner with 3rd party vendors on Data Center rack design, power, cooling, performance and mechanical requirements to implement data center best practices and compliance
Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and stay apprised of latest data center IT technologies and best practices
Act as a point of escalation for production support issues in partnership with global managed service provider
Participate in budgeting, forecasting and financial management processes
Partner with Vendor Management Organization and Finance on Asset Management to ensure compliance on licensed software and physical assets

Position Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Required (Computer Science or other degrees)
5+ years in Information Technology or relevant experience
Strong understanding of information technology and new technology trends
Solid experience in one or more infrastructure technologies including Network, Compute, Storage, Industrial/Manaufacturing Infrastructure Technologies, Backup/Recovery, Highly-availability, Capacity planning, Turn-ups and Decommissioning, and IT Data Center Management
Understand fundamental network architecture and design
Work with a team as well as independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with multiple internal business partners and multiple external 3rd party vendors
Problem solving ability (troubleshooting, prioritization, and escalation skills)
Ability to execute manual tasks, lift up to 40 pounds and work in physical data center
Performs other duties as assigned
Domestic Travel: 10%
