WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Consultant, Electrical Engineer for our Seattle, WA office.

Lead Consultant, Electrical Engineer - Seattle, WA

Introduction

Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. WSP offers excellent growth opportunities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.

  • Service utility coordination

  • Power distribution

  • Lighting

  • Fire alarm

  • Low voltage infrastructure

  • Emergency power systems

  • UPS design

  • Construction Administration

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 7-10 yrs + experience designing electrical systems for the built environment

  • Previous building design internship experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Knowledge of building and energy codes.

  • Business development

  • Mentoring junior team members

  • Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Your Qualifications Must-have: * 5+ years fullstack expertise developing high-throughput services in Java and React, or equivalent experience. 10 years strongly preferred. * Ability to make technical design decisions based on the unique needs of each project * Experience working with large and complex datasets / data structures / APIs to enable highly interactive interfaces.
