Lead Configuration Technician

AHEAD is looking for a Lead Configuration Technician to join the Engineered Solutions team. This position will provide guidance, instruction, direction, coordination and leadership to the configuration work center for the purpose of achieving AHEAD manufacturing departmental goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Essential Functions:

• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to assemble computer hardware components

• Complete tasks as described by production schedules with minimum supervision

• Achieve departmental work goals

• Communicate production problems with Production, Engineering and Sales departments

• Troubleshoot server hardware issues

• Communicate suggestions and feedback to build documents

• Create new procedures as needed

• Teach new and existing employees about all and new procedures

• Record any non-conformances

• Perform visual quality inspections

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Supervisory Responsibility:

• Delegate tasks to team members

• Ensure team members are following set procedures and policies

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills

• Work and communicate in a professional manner

• Maintain 5S standards

• Keen interest in new technologies and willing to learn new things

• Strong problem-solving skills

• High school diploma and one year of administrative experience

• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math

• 0-2 years experience in Warehouse and Manufacturing type activities

• Two years working knowledge of computers, networks or computer hardware experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a professional warehouse and production environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear

• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a repetitive basis

• Ability to work on feet 8+ hours a day

• This is a full time position and hours and days are typically: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand)
