What you'll do

The Lead Community Coordinator will be an integral part of the Community Team at Blake Street House. The position will include greeting members and guests, helping members with requests such as application inquiries, dining and wellness reservations. The position will also be responsible for leading, scheduling, and supervising the Community Coordinators while also completing all tasks that fall under the Coordinator job responsibilities. The position might also assist in tours and onboarding of new members, and events and programming. The Community Coordinator Lead supports BlakeSt's core values and provides extraordinary value to BlakeSt members and demonstrates our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Our ideal candidate will be available to work mornings, days, nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively handle any membership issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.

  • Self-manage. Follow attendance policy, clock in/out appropriately, adhere to dress code, be proactive in accomplishing duties, adhere to Company policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight of Community Desk operations.

  • Answer the phone and direct calls to specific departments.

  • Make suggestions for dining, wellness, or entertainment within the house.

  • Correctly make dining, wellness, and event reservations for members.

  • Coordinate restocking amenities and supplies through ordering, inventory, and stocking.

  • Provide information to prospective members regarding member benefits and general inquiries. Assists in the scheduling and leading of house tours for potential members.

  • Play active role in the membership orientation process; meeting with new members, updating membership materials and coordinating calendar(s).

  • Assist Membership Department leadership in the scheduling of all Community Coordinators.

  • Play an active role in the training and coaching of new and existing Community Coordinators.

  • Constantly monitor guests entering the building, ensuring that members do not bring more than their allocated guest count, unless previously authorized, and ensure that non-members leave the facilities if the member leaves.

  • Ensure non-members are not utilizing the wellness facilities unless they have purchased a Wellness Pass.

  • Direct guests to different areas of the house.

  • Address issues with members incorrectly using the spaces in the house.

  • Monitor the physical space, and reorganize if necessary.

  • Act as point of contact for all PWK & Special Guest Requests, with completion of billing and internal spreadsheet.

  • Manage documentation for short-term BlakeSt guests and PWKs and notify management when in-House.

  • Oversee the programming for Member Birthdays and Anniversaries, etc., including monthly birthday cards to members with help from the Community Coordinators.

  • Ensure wellness/fitness areas are well maintained and supplied, notifying management when necessary.

  • Assist with the organization of on-site events and monitoring guests lists. Play an active role in hosting member events and ensuring each event has a BlakeSt presence.

  • Update and manage the library book check-out system.

  • Ensure house marketing is up-to-date and accurate, including event flyers, closure signs, and general postings.

  • Confirm reservations and event enrollment for accuracy and special accommodations, and notify the team as necessary.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to monitor numerous software tasks.

  • High energy, positive, professional attitude, takes pride in work.

  • Strong writing/communications skills and phone etiquette.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.

  • Possesses strong qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to company mission.

  • Excellent multitasking skills; strong organizational ability, time management and detail orientation.

What Will Make Us Really Love You

  • Degree in Hospitality Administration or Business, preferred.

  • Experience in a hospitality environment, especially in members clubs, preferred.
