Pay Range: $ 55.74/hr - $ 65.50/hr - $ 75.25/hr *Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $65.50/hr, based on applicable experience. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist for Urinalysis/Serology is responsible for performance of Urinalysis, urine toxicology, Serology, blood gases, Fetal Fibronectin, sweat chloride, and A1C. These tests are used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. #They assist in supervising the performance of these tests and recording of results by other Clinical Laboratory Scientists. They assist in training of Clinical Laboratory Scientists. #They are responsible for performing on a monthly basis, all equipment maintenance, quality control activities, and proficiency testing activities within the Urinalysis/Serology section of the Clinical Laboratory. #They are responsible for developing and maintaining written policy and procedures for the Urinalysis/Serology section. #These duties are in addition to or encompass the duties of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist. #The Lead CLS-UA/Serology is expected to perform tests in other areas of the laboratory whenever it is needed in order to support the operation of the department.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum:

#Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Must be aware of chemical hygiene protocols and handling requirements for biohazard materials.

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
