Role Description

The Lead Clinic Scribe is a critical member of the Scribe Program. S/he champions the organization's mission to provide high quality patient care by leading her/his Clinic Scribe team. The Lead Clinic Scribe acts as an in-Clinic expert on all Scribe related matters including: training, coordinating coverage and assistance with implementation any new Clinic initiatives. In addition, s/he will engage with the Senior Scribes to facilitate successful execution of Scribe activities in each Clinic. This new addition to the Oak Street Health team will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operations of these essential activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-5 Clinic Scribes

  • Ongoing training and support of Clinic Scribes

  • In-clinic point person for coding and workflow questions

  • WRV Review assistance

  • Coordinating Regional Scribe coverage

  • Observing and recording patient encounters/examinations

  • Documenting patient information, history, and diagnoses

  • Assisting in medical management

  • Documenting medical decision making

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Self-starter with high degree of drive, initiative, and follow through

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Expert in accurate and specific documentation

  • Commitment to company vision

  • At least 6 months of experience as a Scribe

  • US work authorization

Qualifications: * A minimum of 3+ years' experience with industrial HVAC, HVAC (DDC) Controls, PLC controls, Air Balancing, Building Automation Commissioning, or related field. * Associates Degree or similar education or experience desired (High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is a minimum requirement). * Must have strong knowledge in HVAC mechanical and/or Electrical systems. * Must have knowledge of computers and MS Suite software products. * Strong documentation and communication skills desired. * Independent, self learner and high desire for high quality products and systems. * Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing. * Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license in good standing in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
