We are looking for a Lead Clinical LVN in our Administration Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare

Location: Mission Viejo,CA

Schedule: Full-Time / 8 Hours

Shift: Day

Job Summary:

Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Supervisor/ Manager and/or Director, this position supports the clinical department with the first line direction of the clinical staff and workflow. Responsibilities also include assisting both internal and external customers in providing patient care within the scope of practice outlined by the California Board of Vocational Nursing. In addition, this position will assist in orientation/training of new employees as well as participate in the hiring/evaluation process.

  • Knowledge and use of ICD-9 coding.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program at a vocational school or college.

Experience: Requires two (2) years' experience as an LVN in an ambulatory or acute care setting.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current California LVN license

  • Current CPR (BLS) certificate

  • IV Certification

Experience: Requires two (2) years' experience as an LVN in an ambulatory or acute care setting.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows and an e-mail system.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience:

  • Four (4) plus years' experience as an LVN in an ambulatory or acute care setting.

  • One (1) year experience in a leadership role highly desirable.

Computer Skills:
IDX and Touchworks experience highly desirable.

Other: Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
