Full Time; 10:30am - 6:30pm
Minimum of three years' experience teaching in an early childcare center or an appropriate combination of education and experience as deemed equivalent and appropriate by the Center Director.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development, or closely related field
N.A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P., C.P.C. Credentials or 30 credits in ECE and at least 5 years of early childcare experience.
Basic First Aid and CPR (Child and Infant) Heartsaver certification through the American Heart Association
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Thorough knowledge of all regulatory requirements that govern child care centers, including the Arizona State Licensing Regulations.
Directs the activities and maintain the environment of a designated classroom area at the Little Minnows Learning Center.
All KRMC employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports the vision of providing the region's best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
Plans, conducts, and evaluates a daily program appropriate to age group served, intended to provide developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences for children. Keeps informed and abreast of research and new developments in Early Childhood.
Responsible for the direct supervision and evaluation of the other teachers at the Learning Center and students assigned to the area, evaluating children's progress and maintaining on-going communication with parents and ensuring a safe, attractive learning environment for children in the program.
Works with team teachers to formulate a weekly written curriculum plan. Prepares monthly theme calendars with team teachers. Supervises and participates in daily activities of the classroom.
Provides frequent, positive and warm interactions with children. Utilizes positive corrective action techniques (including redirection, positive reinforcement, offering choices, and setting limits, as age appropriate), which promote self-esteem, self-control, problem solving, empathy and respect for others.
