Summary

Duty Station: Initially will be the selectee's home address (Work At Home position) until the opening of the Area Census Office (ACO) in Harrisburg, PA. At that time the employee will be required to report to the ACO as their regular place of work.
In order to be considered, ALL APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE in the Harrisburg, PA. commuting area.
Relocation will not be paid.

Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will:
1.Oversees the activities of field data collection and directly supervises an assigned team of Census Field Supervisors and office support clerks.
2.Directly supervises approximately 10-15 Census Field Supervisors and approximately 3-5 clerks.
3.Provides group and individual training, monitors daily assignments and provides advice and guidance to subordinate staff.
4.Establishes an effective working relationship with traditionally hard to enumerate populations or with specific populations indigenous to the area within the office boundaries which incumbent is responsible for, including community, religious, or other characteristics.
5.Assures that specific levels of quality and progress o field operations are being met through analysis of various computer-generated reports and observation.
6.Reviews and analyzes cost, quality, and progress reports to assure operations are coordinated within prescribed time allocations and quality and cost-efficient standards.

EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience for this position, that includes supervising, training and delegating work to subordinates. Experience Overseeing and providing guidance directly to staff. Experience monitoring overlapping projects. Experience working in a team environment, to negotiate with others in order to secure support from multiple businesses and organizations. Experience communicating with diverse populations. Experience setting priorities and developing, monitoring and/or analyzing detailed program/project requirements and implementation schedules. Experience reviewing cost, quality, and progress reports.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in any area with Superior Academic Achievement OR one full year of graduate education directly related to the position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES * Assesses and analyzes injured worker's medical and vocational status. * Develops progressive plan of care to facilitate medical recovery and progressive return to work. * Manages one-time task assignment or full field case management referral to meet with attending physician, injured worker and/or employer to clarify medical and/or vocational claim related information which could not be obtained through correspondence or telephonic attempts by claims team. * Collaborates with members of the health care team to provide ongoing case management services. * Acts as liaison for involved parties in the worker's compensation injury by communicating in person and telephonically with the patient/caregiver, attorneys, employer, claims examiners, telephonic nurse case manager, return to work specialists, vocational rehabilitation supervisor, provider(s), ancillary provider(s) and health care team. * Monitors injured employee's progress towards appropriately established outcomes through continued assessment and evaluation. * Coordinates necessary referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for the injured employee. * Completes the interview process with the patient/caregiver in the home, worksite, ancillary location or physician's office for current and ongoing assessments and evaluations. * Assists in the development of continued care plans as necessary to include patient education and prevention programs. * Testifies as needed to substantiate relevant case work or reports. * Confers with medical treating providers concerning the course of care and treatment per clinical guidelines. * Educates medical providers on appropriate disability and treatment guidelines as necessary.
