Duty Station: Initially will be the selectee's home address (Work At Home position) until the opening of the Area Census Office (ACO) in Raleigh, NC. At that time the employee will be required to report to the ACO as their regular place of work.

In order to be considered, ALL APPLICANTS MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE in one of the following counties: WAKE, JOHNSTON, FRANKLIN, GRANVILLE, VANCE.

Relocation will not be paid.

The individual selected for this position will:
1.Oversees the activities of field data collection and directly supervises an assigned team of Census Field Supervisors and office support clerks.
2.Directly supervises approximately 10-15 Census Field Supervisors and approximately 3-5 clerks.
3.Provides group and individual training, monitors daily assignments and provides advice and guidance to subordinate staff.
4.Establishes an effective working relationship with traditionally hard to enumerate populations or with specific populations indigenous to the area within the office boundaries which incumbent is responsible for, including community, religious, or other characteristics.
5.Assures that specific levels of quality and progress o field operations are being met through analysis of various computer-generated reports and observation.
6.Reviews and analyzes cost, quality, and progress reports to assure operations are coordinated within prescribed time allocations and quality and cost-efficient standards.

Travel Required
50% or less - Position requires 25% local travel and 25% overnight travel.

Experience Overseeing and providing guidance directly to staff. Experience monitoring overlapping projects. Experience working in a team environment, to negotiate with others in order to secure support from multiple businesses and organizations. Experience communicating with diverse populations. Experience setting priorities and developing, monitoring and/or analyzing detailed program/project requirements and implementation schedules. Experience reviewing cost, quality, and progress reports.


EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in any area with Superior Academic Achievement OR one full year of graduate education directly related to the position.

We are currently looking for a Field Operations Manager oversees the operational, financial and customer services aspects of their assigned field office. This is an exempt, full-time position that includes working weekends with flexible days off during the week. Description/Essential Functions: * Direct, develop, train, review, recruit, hire, communicate and performance manage rig and office staff * Oversight of all field office operational issues to include administrative, accounting, facilities and inventory * Discuss progress, provide general direction and work with teams in the field, providing insight and guidance * Live our competencies and reinforce our brand promise with our partners, clients and team members * Manage employee retention by providing a positive working environment and addressing employee concerns/issues in a timely manner * Communicate regularly with Regional Director and corporate staff in order to provide field reporting and resolve issues * Facilitate communication to field office, through regular in-person, phone and digital correspondence * Delegate appropriate responsibilities and duties to assigned staff as necessary to support the business. * Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
