The Lead Supervisor ensures a welcoming atmosphere for our shuttle employees, customers and clients by proving excellent customer service, helping to resolve inquiries, scheduling, finding coverage, reports and supports the Shuttles Operations Manager with various tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Regular and punctual attendance is paramount to this position.

  • Able to dependably work a schedule, with the flexibility to work earlier or later as requested.

  • Check and respond to all emails daily and on a timely manner.

  • Complete "Daily Schedule Summary" for the previous work day on a daily basis.

  • Input shuttle and driver information (provided by passenger count and supervisor report)

  • Input Supervisor and coverage information.

  • Input employee rounded punches from Timeforce.

  • Notate any discrepancies (ie supervisors driving on route, CHP checkpoints, late flights, special occurrencesetc.)

  • Daily Schedule Report must be completed by 8am daily and checked by Office Personnel.

  • Responsible for the Passenger Count Report, Input the completed passenger counts onto passenger count summary report.

  • Check that all passenger counts are accounted for and in order. Report and obtain any missing passenger counts.

  • Provide passengers counts to supervisors with Count Sheet Cover to complete.

  • Main Street and Employee lot Passenger Count Report must be updated weekly and viewed by Office Personnel by Monday 8am.

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating driver schedules, including finding coverage and ensure all shifts are covered (refer to memo).

  • Email manager of shift changes and updated schedule

  • Ensure all shifts are covered and all daily shifts are accounted for. Verify that schedule is in compliant with DOT and Labor Laws. (Refer to posted memo for shift coverage).

  • Will report to Shuttle Manager if any employee wishes to change availability and/or regular schedule time to get approval. Shuttle Manager will contact employee for further details.

  • Train and evaluate new drivers and supervisors

  • Ensure new drivers and supervisors are in compliant with DOT, LAZ Uniform policy, LAZ Grooming and Appearance policy and are performing driver safety.

  • Complete and submit Evaluation form to Shuttle Manager and discuss areas of improvement.

  • Attend weekly one on one meeting with Shuttle Manager on Mondays at 10:30am to discuss recap of previous week.

  • Following the meeting, email a summary of topics discussed to Shuttle Manager.

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years in an administrative support role is required.

  • Parking or Shuttle industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Basic knowledge General Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Class B driver's license

  • Basic DOT/CHP audit knowledge

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language.

  • Bi-lingual abilities are preferred but not required.

  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.

  • Demonstrates the ability to seek improvement.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently sit for extended period of time.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and otherwise move objects of at least 30 pounds in weight.

  • Ability to work in elements-heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

  • Ability to frequently stand and/or walk for moderate periods of time.

  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift objects throughout the shift.

  • Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

  • Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrist, arms, knees and/or legs.

  • Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.

Manages assigned company resources (personnel, equipment and materials) to achieve work schedules and satisfy customer requirements in an efficient and cost effective manner. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Complies with and enforces all company safety rules and regulations. These include the use of company-provided personal protective equipment/supplies (i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes); maintaining a clean work area; operating equipment and using tools in a safe manner; correcting unsafe conditions or practices * Effectively leads a team of employees and manages performance to set expectations. Tasks for effective performance management include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems * Update Daily Management board and communicate status of Dispatch list, RYG report, weekly shipment plan, Flex performance and projections during daily walk thru with management.
