We are seeking a Lead Cardiovascular Sonographer to:
Motivate, lead others and share knowledge to provide advanced training to current Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers and new staff members.
Collaborate between programs to cultivate a dynamic and high functioning team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
Assume a daily leadership role and demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in all applicable clinical settings.
Suggest changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement, as well as coordinate training and development of the Imaging Specialists and keep them advised of technological changes.
Collaborate with clinicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other disciplines and patients/families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care and a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.
Support in the development and coordination of new programs and cutting-edge technology and procedures utilizing ultrasound imaging .
The team supports a robust structural heart program. The procedures include transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
Lead in a Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area.
