Lead Cafe Attendant

Friendship Village Tempe is seeking a Lead Café Attendant to join our team Full Time!

Starting Pay: $18.10-$19.91 per hour depending on years of experience

Schedule: Various shifts; any time between 9:00am - 7:00pm, 2 days off could be split or together. Must work weekends and holidays.

SUMMARY: Provide high quality, caring services to residents and guess at meal times and special events. Maintain food service areas in a neat, clean and sanitary manner. Interact with residents, guest and co-workers in a friendly and helpful manner and make extraordinary impressions on all patrons at all times. Train incoming staff on FVT dining services policies and Village Café procedures as well as continuously train current staff on any new concepts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Café attendant and some knowledge of Barista experience is desirable.

• Customer service and cash handling experience operating a digital/electronic touch screen cash register, POS, is required.

• A friendly, outgoing, personality with strong one-on-one customer service skills and experience

• Experience serving the Senior population in a Health Care environment is highly desirable.

• Food service experience, either full service or fast food, is required.

• Must have the willingness to learn new skills and working together within a team and following directions from Managers and lead employees.

• Scheduled shifts as well as locations of work assignments could vary and are determined by business needs and the Café Manager.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Must acquire a food handler's certification from the local Health Department within 30 days of hire
