Lead CAD Engineer

Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, and Divergent is now expanding to support mission critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

Purpose of Job:

Enable the Mechanical Engineering team to extract maximum value from Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Siemens NX CAD/Design experience

• 3+ years experience using Teamcenter

• Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.

• Experience working in aerospace or capital equipment design.

• Demonstrated development and configuration management experience on technically complex hardware products.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of system level BOM, CAD assembly, and configurations.

• Ownership of NX model and drawing templates.

• Ownership of modeling and drafting standards and mentorship of team to advance best practice and upskill the team.

• Interface with Teamcenter admin to create workflows, system changes, and training materials to enable the team.

• Make suggestions and recommendations for improvements, including changes to workflow.

• Interface with third-party vendors to address escalated issues and problems.

• Work with Responsible Engineers to design components or modify existing designs.

• Provide drafting support as needed.

• Participate in assembly, commissioning, and development of new systems as needed.
