Lead Business Systems Analyst - DAS Client & Workplace Experience

Primary Location: Hermitage/Nashville, TN

Work You'll Do:

In your role, you will be responsible for envisioning and developing new digital products. You will execute day-to-day product development activities across design, development, stakeholder communication, technology vendor management and delivery. Act as the technical visionary and leader for ongoing and future software development efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with business owners to define and document requirements for a named set of custom developed or vendor software products, as well as create user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description decks, user guides, process flows and wireframes.

  • You will have the opportunity to conduct Design Thinking sessions to gain insights into end user and customer needs

  • You will lead the product backlogs for multiple products by facilitating visioning and requirements sessions, defining and prioritizing features, and by maintaining product, release, and sprint backlogs.

  • You will partner with other Business Analysts to collaborate on team dependencies and build a community of practice.

  • You will engage with various ITS organizations to resolve problems in production and non-production environments as they arise.

  • You will possess an overall understanding of appropriate business processes and workflows.

  • You will engage business owners and other ITS resources to respond to requests for new applications and/or enhancements and collaborate with the Engagement Manager to create and present the appropriate project on-boarding processes and materials.

  • You will lead all testing and QA activities within the project lifecycle, to include leading off-shore QA resources to develop and execute test plans, test scripts and all other work and activities related to Quality Assurance of the products.

  • You will partner with the Engagement Manager and clients to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing.

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.

  • 5+ years of experience working on multiple software projects in various IT roles.

  • 3+ years of Business Analyst or System Analysis experience in an agile environment.

  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience, with demonstrated ability in applying repeatable quality assurance processes and methods to enterprise wide technology projects or initiatives. Experience with test plan creation, automated test scripting, and load/stress testing.

  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile development and testing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills.

  • Strong management, communication, technical and remote collaboration skills.

  • Excellent team collaboration skills, to include experience in dealing with multiple projects and multi-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.

  • Strong relationship building and maintaining skills. Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external).

  • Travel up to 5% (While 5% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile project delivery

  • Experience with graphic design tools, such as Adobe Illustrator

  • Knowledge of hosting services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), DevOps, security, application development and management, and innovation)

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION Documents business requirements and translates them into solutions for the information technology organization. Serves as a liaison between the client and the information technology organization from project inception through implementation in order to provide customer-centric solutions that solve business needs. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyzes operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. * Serves as a liaison between the mortgage and home equity servicing community and the application development organization in order to define business solutions and collaborate with development to define the technical solutions to meet user and business needs. * Serves as an integral participant in the business process redesign and documentation for new or changing technology. * Formulates, defines and provides cost estimates for the business process redesign. * Provides documentation for new technology or changes to existing technology to meet business and technical requirements. * Researches business strategies and provide recommendations on best practices and changes in technology for mortgage and home equity servicing solutions. * Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business and information technology from initial requirements to final implementation. * Creates project artifacts as needed and conducts a variety of test cases to confirm the solution will meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders. * Educates internal clients and the information technology organization on enhanced functionality and provides support as needed. * Conducts data mapping and analysis, translating regulatory requirements into the Black Knight Financial Services system. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
