See more details below related to this specific position. WHEDA is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our Administration team in our Madison facility . SALARY: Hiring Range for this position is from $49,085 to $59,750 Annually.

Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity. WHEDA provides a competitive salary and WHEDA employees participate in the State of Wisconsin benefit package which includes retirement, health insurance and deferred compensation programs. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The position of Lead Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repairs for the WHEDA facility and property. This position serves as the primary contact for WHEDA leadership, internal employees, and tenants of the facility for the building oversight, repair management and the safety and security of its occupants. The Lead Building Maintenance Technician will oversee the work of the building maintenance technicians and performs similar functions as a working Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Ensures all facility and property general maintenance is performed, including assignment to and coaching of building technicians, as well as also performing these duties. Includes, seasonal upkeep of property, drywall repair, painting, and various other tasks.

Assigns work to the building maintenance technicians based on work orders received through the work order system. Monitors maintenance inventory, including company vehicles, recommends and orders required equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. Sees that machine and tools are in working condition, and contacts outside vendors for repairs as needed.

Performs minor plumbing maintenance and repair duties, including clearing drains, repairing faucets, urinals, electronic parts, toilets, sump pumps and drinking fountains. Maintains other related fixtures and equipment. Performs minor electrical maintenance and repairs, including re-lamping, replacing ballasts and switches, replacing pumps and fans.

Performs or assists with HVAC maintenance, repair, and software operations, ensures adequate climate control in building, responding to irregular changes in temperature. Develops and manages all technology systems related to maintenance of the WHEDA facility Performs repairs and adjustments within office areas including doors, windows, and office furniture; repairs and replaces door locks as needed. Maintains safety and security related equipment and processes.

Monitors and documents regularly scheduled safety inspections Assigns ID cards; sets up changes to security zones utilizing applicable software. Provides oversight of external vendors and contracts and assists in the implementation of new systems, equipment, and facility modifications. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, or GED AND five years of building maintenance experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Building Maintenance certifications preferred KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Building maintenance, cleaning, janitorial principles, and procedures. Electrical, plumbing and carpentry principles; HVAC mechanics, repair methods, related software, and preventative maintenance principles. Commercial Security alarm systems; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Proficiency with hand and power tools, vehicles, machinery, and equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all staff levels and the general public appropriately Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure, while maintaining safe work practices; Successful prioritizing and management of work projects Maintains confidentiality related to internal/ external customers and any other information obtained in this role Remote Work Options:
