Job Summary

  • A Lead
  • Biomedical Engineering Technician must have proven success in continued service of a diverse array of medical equipment and systems while maintaining leadership skills and qualities. In addition, the Biomedical Engineering Technician Lead must have an expert level understanding of and working knowledge interconnected systems VLAN, isolated networks, and IT systems interfaces.
  • Provide expert-level experience in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in healthcare delivery. Serve as an escalation point for other team members and customers to resolve complex issues. Execute professional-level inventory assessment/audits and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Some overnight travel may be necessary due to the nature of the job and training requirements.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree or military equivalent in electronics or biomedical equipment technology required.

  • Minimum of seven years related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • If performing position from an Iowa based facility, the following is required:

  • Completion of Child & Dependent Adult Abuse for Iowa Mandatory Reporters course within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.

Work Schedule

  • Monday
  • Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Occasional holiday (Infrequent, work may be necessary to cover for needs of the providers working these days)
  • Occasional call time (Call is taken by the Sioux Falls staff. When we get a call after hours for the Sioux Falls staff we are expected to answer the call and respond if able)

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $33.00 - $49.50 per hour
