As a Lead Benefits Strategy Consultant in Benefits Bargaining/Labor Support, you will be a subject matter expert responsible for the strategy development and presentation of health and welfare benefit plans for Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develops benefit proposals that support corporate and business unit strategies, including pricing of healthcare proposals as well as working with actuaries in development of plan design parameters and cost share analysis.

  • Manages assigned projects and engages internal and external resources as required including Labor, Legal, Finance, outside actuaries and consultants.

  • Develops relationships with Labor and Union leadership and works within our organization to support their needs.

  • Participates in benefit strategy development for collective bargaining and the negotiation process, prepares and conducts presentations for leadership, and creates implementation specifications.

  • Performs and interprets financial analysis of benefit plan trends and monitors plan performance with internal and external parties


  • Bachelors of Arts degree and/or Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Financial certifications such as ASA, FSA, EA, and CFA are preferred.

  • Experience: Typically 5 - 7 years of professional experience.

Required Skills:

  • A successful candidate will be a problem solver who can mediate and communicate persuasively to all levels of leadership and possesses strong analytical skills

  • Must be able to read and interpret benefit plans and insurance policy documents, collective bargaining contracts and documentation, and vendor contracts

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Possess leadership and analytical abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Be a self-starter who is detail oriented, operates with limited supervision and enjoys a challenging environment

  • Has extensive experience in working in a team as well as individual contributor experience

  • Have the ability to deal with ambiguous and complex problems and business situations

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of ACA, FASB, and other legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Two years or more of actuarial or financial analysis experience would be favorable.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experience with use of a health and welfare claims data warehouse

Who we're looking for The Project Lead – ERP Basis & Development consultant position will be primarily focused on technical leadership for the NA ERP infrastructure and ABAP development oversight. The consultant will work with various business and IT resources to ensure business requirements are understood and the technical solutions are appropriate to meet them. They will stay current on future SAP technical strategic directions and meet regularly with supported business areas to maintain a high level of support and responsiveness. What you'll be doing * Provide technical leadership for the NA ERP infrastructure. This includes establishing standards and requirements, directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, system configuration, design and implementation. * Gather requirements from application teams and solution architect, work with other Toyota horizontals (network, security, server management) to ensure future direction is known and infrastructure needs are met. * Support application teams through enhancements and transport management. * Monitor and direct NA ERP Infrastructure Hosting Company's activities and adherence to contract obligations. * Inform NA ERP PMO leadership of any discrepancy.
