The Benefit Analyst is responsible for the installation of assigned accounts, including, but not limited to: structure building and billing set up, structure revisions, researching and resolving structure issues, database loading, and preparation of plan materials such as administrative documents and customer education materials. Positions are responsible for overall employer contract loading using various databases and / or source documents. May research installation issues and develop customer specific resolutions. May include auditing contract loads for adherence to quality measures and reporting standards.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday

  • Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am

  • 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research issues and develop customer specific resolutions

  • Build, maintain, and audit benefits in RxCLAIM

  • Provide and design all pieces for implementation

  • Serve as a resource to business partners and co - workers

  • Assist with the development of process improvement for the department

  • Analyze data

  • Design the benefit plan

  • Support client management with research

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Generally, work is self - directed and not prescribed

  • Work with less structured, more complex issues

  • Provide explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

  • Maintain an acceptable quality level and production turnaround time

  • Use automation tools effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare insurance / Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) environment using the computer as the primary instrument to perform job duties

  • 3+ years of experience working with RxClaim in a benefit analyst role and having plan coding experience

  • Experience working with RxClaim, including ability to navigate the system and understand the functionality at a plan administration level

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (ability to create spreadsheets to input, sort, and filter data)

  • Ability to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules within the hours of 8:00 am

  • 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with the possibility of working overtime either before, after, or on a day other than your scheduled day

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or Higher) in pharmacy or healthcare fields

  • 2+ years of experience in a PBM environment performing a benefit related function

  • Quality assurance experience

  • Pharmacy Technician and / or CPHT License

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and Microsoft PowerPoint - ability to open, create, edit, save, and send documents, databases, and presentations

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a constantly changing environment

  • Self - directed and the ability to prioritize caseloads based on business and customer needs

  • Ability to run projects and present to clients

  • Capability to mentor and train team members, as well as provide and create training documents

Physical and Work Environment:

  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, and long periods working at a computer

  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers and floor activity

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $25.63 to $45.72.
