Join a school-based special education team in San Gabriel, CA area as a Lead Behavior Interventionist. This is a full time position.
The hourly rate starts at $23 p/h. Master Level Degree required in the field of Behavioral Sciences. The Lead Behavior Interventionist is responsible to ensure that all site-employees implementation of the following BCL Program Components with integrity: BCL Behavior Modification Program Professional Practices of staff such as professionalism, quality of work, communication Some travel will be required between school sites The Lead Behavior Interventionist is also responsible to ensure that all Behavior Interventionists and Behavior Technicians conduct themselves professionally and in accordance with all HR Policies and Procedures as outlined in the BCL Employee Manual.

Position Requirements Master Level Degree required in the field of Behavioral Sciences Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analyst, Behavior Science, Human Development, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or in a related field, issued by a regionally accredited post-secondary institution of higher education Willing to be enrolled in a Master's Degree program within a year Minimum 3 years' experience working with students with emotional/behavioral difficulties Crisis Intervention Certificate preferred Bachelor's Degree is required Masters' Degree in behavioral field is highly preferred Minimum 3 years' experience working with students with emotional/behavioral difficulties Ability to pass Department of Justice and FBI background check Pass a TB test

Responsibilities: Ensure the following Program components are implemented with integrity:
WAVES Behavior Modification Program Behavior Intervention Program Professional Development Trainings Conduct Daily/weekly PD for Behavior Interventionist & Behavior Technicians Mentor and participate in training all new employees in the program components. Conduct Crisis Management Trainings (e.g. Safety Care) to all new employees Meetings Conduct weekly Professional Growth Plan meetings with Behavior Interventionists & Behavior Technicians Attend monthly meeting with Site Administrator Attend weekly meetings and work closely with BCBA Conduct Behavioral Intervention Plan Reviews with BCBA and MHT; and classroom teams when needed Data Collection Conduct employee observation protocols - integrity/validity of program Conduct Incident Report Audit 1 time per month Follow up/de-briefing meetings with staff following behavior incidents Reporting Review hours inputted into Quickbase by all behavior interventionists Track all crisis and incident reports into database Other Assist BCBA in data collection/FBA Support Site Administrator in administrative duties Coordinate and oversee all crisis situations Be available if crisis occurs before/after school Work with all employees to maintain a team environment Coordinate with Site Admin/BCBA to ensure coverage for behavior Interventionists when they are absent Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics Computer literacy Organized and detail oriented Professional appearance and attitude at all times Must be able to adhere to a consistent schedule Effective communication in both oral and written Collaborate and able to receive to feedback, mentoring and direction from peers and supervisors Maintain a professional and clinical perspective at all times, able to not internalize or personalize (e.g. emotionally) in regards to certain student behaviors or mannerisms that occur
