Provide work leadership and technical expertise to service personnel in performing automotive maintenance and repair work within a service facility to include diagnosis, repair and replacement of automotive parts and accessories. Directly perform service as required including that of a more advanced and technically complex nature.
Conduct diagnosis of service requirements on vehicles to include, mechanical equipment and machinery and passenger vehicles.
Under direction of service facility management, schedule and assign work to service personnel.
Monitor parts and supplies inventories and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
Ensure service facility tools and equipment are maintained in working condition.
Advise on and oversee service personnel work assignments.
Communicate and train service personnel in new and revised procedures.
Provide work orientation to new personnel.
Perform quality control checks on finished work.
Advise management of issues that may arise.
Participate with service center management in reviewing work volumes and preparing work plans.
Follow all job-related safety and health procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
ASE Master Certification preferred
3 - 5 years of vehicle reconditioning, detailing and/or body shop experience required
1 year of customer service experience preferred
5-10 years of hands-on repair experience preferred
Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Must be detail oriented
Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Moderate noise level. Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
