Averhealth is seeking a Lead Application Developer/Architect to join our IT team. We are searching for someone who truly enjoys building solutions using the latest technologies and innovations and shares our passion for excellence. You are expected to be a hands-on lead developer who excels in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Your role will include complex solution design and specification, hands-on development, SDLC / CICD management, code review and QC, application performance monitoring and management, and leading team of external and internal developers. Our ideal candidate is a confident self-starter, full-stack developer with experience managing large enterprise class proprietary applications who's not afraid to dive into areas they may not familiar with, communicates well, and is passionate about cloud services, and programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Individual must have senior knowledge and senior hands-on experience in developing, implementing and leading software applications
Proactively learns new technologies, standards, and applications; keeps current with technology developments within the industry
Takes lead role in all stages of software development, including planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and release
Participate in product development from ideation to deployment and beyond
Create new features to applications for our users and customers
Work with data to make internal systems smarter and more intuitive to use
Maintain and help optimize existing systems
Solve challenges with out of the box thinking
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
DevOps/Platforms: Knowing Amazon Web Service/ AWS cloud-based application infrastructure
Experience converting application from jQuery to a more modern front-end (e.g., responsive, progressive web-app)
Experience leading and managing application wide SDLC / CICD process
Experience managing team of in-house and outsourced developers
Large application management (i.e. coordinating multiple developers and business analysts working on multiple branches and micro-services)
Total/complete application management (solid new code development, maintenance/support, existing code audit and optimization, etc.)
Willingness to learn from, work with and interact with a team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Physics or other similar disciplines is required
5+ years of experience in developing and managing software solutions
1+ year of experience in designing and scaling cloud-based applications (Amazon Web Services)
Demonstrated expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server technology stack.
Experience with Aurora MySQL Serverless database engine and conversions from SQL Server to MySQL preferred
RESTful API development
Working in Agile development teams (2 years)
Experience with AWS Code Pipeline or similar SDLC / CICD tools a plus
Experience with Twilio TwiML applications and integrations a plus
AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Developers Certifications highly desired and other AWS certifications a plus
