Job Position Summary

Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions aligned to Claims back office technology. These application program solutions involve diverse development platforms, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using legacy technologies as well as new technologies. Focus on setting technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives in building robust solutions. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but this role will mentor and lead developers and responsible for coordinating development of key projects and special initiatives in a matrixes organization. Often collaborate with external teams to coordinate delivery of software solutions. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.

Required Skills:

  • 7 years of hands on experience in Application Programming/Development designing, developing and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications

  • 5+ years working on C++ in a Linux environment with wide sue of template libraries.

  • 5+ Must have PL/SQL, DB Design and Architecture, Oracle, SQL Server, Informix

  • 2+ years of Java development experience

  • 2+ years' experience in Agile methodology

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • Experience working in Finance Industry

  • Strong working experience building Datamarts and Reporting solutions

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

  • Strong expertise in building business integrations with external applications through web services and Batch operations.

  • Lead a team of developers to transform and optimize existing applications.

  • Expertise in JSON, XML/XSL, and Web-services

  • Manages code migration from development through to production.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadline with Strong organizational skills

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong presentation skills with ability to lead telephone meetings, develop and convey a point of view

  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude

  • Well versed in CI/CD tools and DevOps process.
