Position Summary

The Lead Application Developer is a member of the Enterprise Applications Team and will be responsible for working in a team of other application developers who are passionate about building cloud-based custom software using state-of-the-art solutions and tools.

  • Design and develop solutions leveraging our current tech stack (Angular, C#, SQL, ETL, REST API)

  • Build, configure, troubleshoot, administer and support integrations built in Azure Logic Apps or other integration tools

  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to achieve key objectives and solve problems

  • Lead software development initiatives and projects

  • Maintain technology standards and drive innovation & best practices

  • Proactively identify gaps in the existing infrastructure and development process, acting as a catalyst for change for greater efficiency

  • Use expertise to answer questions from less experienced teammates, working to distribute technical knowledge throughout team.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization. Always wears a hard helmet and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field.

  • Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record.

  • Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Utilizes Microsoft Office-based applications and project management software systems appropriate for this role.

  • Reads, analyzes and interprets complex documents.

  • Write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.

  • Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.

  • Applies principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual or practical problems.

  • Organizes and manages time, duties and activities efficiently.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor' degree from four-year College or University plus a minimum of eight (8) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years of proven experience as a full stack developer

  • Experience working on a Scrum team participating in Agile ceremonies (e.g. daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives).

  • Highly proficient in .NET and OO Design Principles and Patterns.

  • Highly proficient with JavaScript and JS Frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)

  • Fluent in the design, development, and consumption of Restful API's.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure offerings (e.g. Service Bus, API Management).

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (e.g. Repos, Pipelines).

  • Experience with IBM AS400 is a plus.

  • Experience or exposure to low code development platforms (e.g Azure Logic Apps, Power Apps)

  • Knowledge and experience with databases (e.g. Sql Server, Cosmos DB)

  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git)

  • Experience & passion for Agile development methodology

  • Excellent analysis, communication, and teamwork
