Job Description:

The candidate will provide technical support to a variety of government and internal projects in the area of Antenna and RF electronics engineering and RF hardware prototyping. The candidate should have strong interest in performing hands on measurements in a lab and antenna anechoic chamber setting. Additional desired skill sets include:

  • Interested in leading a small lab-based team that matures and evaluates RF and antenna prototyping

  • Proficient in antenna troubleshooting and utilizing test equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers to evaluate antenna, and RF hardware performance

  • Designing, building and implementing RF and antenna test fixtures

  • Ability and desire to support the acquisition and processing of test data

  • Able to maintain, troubleshoot and repair an antenna range

  • Ability and desire to plan, coordinate, and lead a team in the execution of field testing, and hardware installation

  • Performing site surveys and coordinate test event logistics

  • Ability to install, repair and troubleshoot test hardware, including the ability to creatively solve unexpected problems in the field

  • Interest and enthusiasm in working in a team and growing professionally

  • Able to build active and passive microelectronic components

The candidate will play a key role in helping MITRE sponsors develop capabilities via hardware lab testing and field evaluation

Qualifications - External Key Functions:

  • Measuring antennas and RF hardware

  • Organizing field testing and implementation

  • Ability to support field measurements

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong familiarity with network analyzers, and similar test equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of basic RF, antenna and Microwave theory

  • Understanding of basic antenna measurement theory and antenna chamber operations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Experience in measuring RF antenna systems such as network analyzers, and similar test equipment

  • Ability to support field measurements

  • Strong organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (10 years) or 15 years related experience

  • Currently holds or can obtain a secret clearance

We are looking for highly-motivated, adaptive, and self-directed candidates to perform research, development, engineering, evaluation and integration in the field of natural language processing, to include computational linguistics, artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to machine and computer-assisted translation, speech processing, information extraction, information retrieval, identity matching and associated areas of human language technology. Day to Day Responsibilities The position involves researching, developing, evaluating, integrating and assisting government customers with language technology tools. Specific responsibilities will include: * Provide thought leadership and problem solving for our government customers * Convey complex ideas to non-technical audiences through briefings and/or white papers * Analyze language processing needs and recommend solutions * Prototype language technology solutions based on analysis of workflow needs * Create, prepare or process language data sets for improving or evaluating language technology tools * Evaluate technology solutions in the context of mission data and workflow needs * Research new technologies and methods suitable for addressing mission needs Requirements / Must Have for Consideration Bachelor's degree in computer science, linguistics, or related disciplines and 8+ years documented success in one or more of the following areas: * Design and implementation of language technology evaluations * Knowledge of and experience in prototyping/developing human language technologies * Application of machine learning techniques (e.g., neural approaches) to language processing challenges * Integration or customization of third-party (commercially available or open source) language technology tools in one or more application areas of HLT * Strategic planning for the development, insertion and use of language technologies Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
