Lead Analytics Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join the Operations Finance and Insights team directly reporting to the Head of Insights, Outcomes & Reporting (IOR). IOR reports into Philanthropy and Community Impact which is responsible for Wells Fargo Foundation philanthropic giving and leading employee volunteerism for the entire company.

In this role, you will:

• Build SQL queries to combine multiple data sources, build Tableau dashboards focused on grants, sponsorships, and volunteerism

• Understand business requirements and translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations in support business initiatives and projects

• Compile and mine data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and developing expertise in these sources

• Translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations

• Be capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast-paced environment

• Efficiently and accurately deliver metrics and indicators by implementing consistent, documented, and validated processes

• Proactively recognize opportunities for improvement and implement best practices, taking ownership of the task and following through to completion in a fast-paced environment

• Lead data or LOB specific projects that involve other analytics consultants, technology and third-party suppliers.

• Work with technology teams and third-party supplier to resolve production issues and enhance database environments

• Write Agile user stories for database enhancements, collaborate with technology teams through development cycle and participate in testing and implementation of enhancements

• Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience querying SQL Server or other analytical databases

• 2+ years of relevant work experience with Tableau

• Experience with Agile process and creating user stories

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization
