Responsibilities

Maintain solid working relationship with vendors and community action

agencies in support of low-income programs

Act as SME to support regulatory filings. Will represent UIL at local or

state agency functions related to low-income programs. May

represent UIL at regulatory meetings, committees, or hearings. Respond

to all data requests relating to hardship customers

Ensure SOX compliance and respond to audit requests for hardship

documentation

Evaluate existing business practices in order to identify process

improvements that would better serve customers and while eliminating

inefficiencies

Coordinate and collaborate in cross functional teams to implement SAP

upgrades, system integrity,

Keep abreast and ensure compliance to regulatory and legislative changes

related to low-income programs

Analytical ability required to evaluate the effectiveness of low-income

programs and determine opportunities for improvement.

Establishes analysis requirements to determine the effectiveness of Low

Income Programs across UIL operating companies.

Describes a range of options, makes recommendations and applies optimal

solutions related to hardship protection including Medical,

MAPP, MPP Forgiveness. Conducts the research, analysis and communication

of results of other team members. Delivers

presentations of results to executive UIL management and others in a

clear and effective

manner. May represent UIL's position to external audiences, including

regulatory or legislative forums, community

and customer groups, and industry entities.

Seven years of experience with customer information systems (SAP highly

preferred).

Demonstrated expertise in working with hardship customers in accordance

with Connecticut statutes and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to communicate and present effectively with

internal and external customers including Community Action

Agencies, DSS and PURA.

Skills and Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's of Science/Arts Degree from an accredited

college/university in a related analytic discipline

including but not limited to Liberal Arts, Social Science, Computer or

other Science, Business

We are actively hiring Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineers, at all experience levels, for our Transmission Substation Project Development team. We are flexible with office locations (Connecticut, Maine, and New York), and remote work options may be considered for highly qualified candidates.</strong></p><p>This position is responsible for oversight on the Transmission &amp; Substation (T&amp;S) portion of AVANGRID&rsquo;s capital plan. Responsibilities will include overall portfolio tracking, forecasting, study/project prioritization, and development of strategies to advance projects from the planning phase through execution/construction activities. Demonstrated ability to oversee, prepare, and deliver concise communications to all levels including internal Executives and Sr. Leadership as well as external Regulators, and other key stakeholders.</p><p>The following are some specific responsibilities for this position:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to develop complex analytical tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Access, etc.) to monitor and prioritize study/project activities to ensure informed decision making.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for ensuring appropriate investment oversight and decision making for all T&amp;S capital projects from inception through construction.</li><li>Lead participant in the technical Transmission System Review Group (TSRG) and financial Electric System Planning (ESP) governance group responsible for vetting and approving new projects prior to delivering them for execution. Includes thorough review and feedback of submitted TSRG stakeholder materials. May take on role of chair or vice-chair of TSRG for AVANGRID.</li><li>Supports all aspects of AVANGRID&rsquo;s Long Term Outlook of the T&amp;S CAPEX investment portfolio including rate case preparations, regulatory funding commitments, ISO reporting, etc.</li><li>Extensive presentation and report preparation (and or review/editing) skills are essential including the ability to concisely communicate decision making at all internal and external stakeholder levels (e.g. executives, regulator&rsquo;s, and ISO&rsquo;s).</li><li>Ability to develop and build collaborative and constructive relationships across internal business areas and teams and/or external stakeholders including regulators.</li><li>Ensure Regulatory and Financial commitments are met through reporting, tracking, and follow-up.</li><li>Portfolio oversight including project prioritization, tracking, budget forecasting, regulatory/variance reporting.</li><li>Contract administration (e.g. RFP, Purchase Orders, contractor hiring, etc.).</li><li>Financial oversight of Transmission Networks Planning (Accounting, SAP, etc.).</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Strategic and Technical Leadership: Provides strategic leadership of internal and external contractor teams working across multiple operating companies and geographic locations.
