Overview

Supply Chain is hiring a Network Modeling Sr. Analyst for our new Network Optimization function. We are looking for some exceptional talent to help develop the tool and to implement the function. Our mission is to engineer the dynamic Network Optimization model that, in the years ahead, can drive insight across our network, identify efficient resource allocation, and help craft the future network of suppliers and distributors for a thirty-billion-dollar company.

The systems we own are responsible for delivering the food and packaging needed by Operators to serve millions of customers every day. You will ensure that this tool is leveraged to design our network in a way that best meets our business goals. You will demonstrate strong leadership as you control your own destiny in Chick-fil-A's ownership oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, to influence to evangelize network optimization across the department

  • Proven experience in the domain of optimization or simulation modeling

  • Empathy for our Operator's experience

  • Going beyond established analytical thinking and problem-solving by applying creativity to unconventional concepts and out-of-the-box solutions

  • Ability to quickly understand patterns within large quantity of data and to reference key characteristics using visualization techniques

  • Demonstrating strong programming skills in large-scale data analysis using R, Python or related software in a next generation Cloud environment, e.g. AWS

  • As an insight incubator, works autonomously or leads teams to generate or shape new and highly critical business propositions that exploit big data research

  • Works with Supply Chain planners to propose innovative products and services that fully utilize the power of big data, or that indicate the need for new data platforms and associated product/service functionality

  • Acts as a consultant in the work of colleagues towards the building of a vibrant practice community

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

  • Solid knowledge of statistical techniques is required

  • Strong communication skills and proven experience as an influencer at executive level

  • Experience in or knowledge of supply chain planning and design, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using Alteryx and working in AWS environments

  • Experience in using Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software

  • 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain Optimization, Planning and Design

  • Hands-on programming experience with optimization software packages
