Job Title: Lead Analyst, IT Supply Chain Business Applications

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: Director, IT Supply Chain Applications

Overview/scope:

SAP IBP/SCM Demand Lead Analyst is responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of all phases of an SAP IBP/SCM project within the Demand and S&OP functions. Essential duties will be focused on integration and support of the systems that enable the creation of accurate forecasts in demand planning, the S & OP process, annual planning and long-term planning toolsets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct workshops (e.g. requirements gathering, GAP/FIT, solution architecting) with business managers.

  • Collaborate with peers, staff and end-users to determine the business and functional requirements within an ERP solution, scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals.

  • Create detailed systems documentation, test scripts, and presentations.

  • Leverage business and technical expertise to address technology architecture, blueprinting, data analysis, business modeling, technical design, application development integration, and enablement.

  • Configure and test SAP IBP/SCM to meet the business requirements

  • Provide leadership and guidance to other analysts and client personnel assigned to the projects.

Qualifications:

  • Strong functional and technical knowledge on IBP/SCM Demand and S&OP

  • Provide hands on solution configuration and delivery

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of all project phases, releases, and project components for implementation and transformation projects.

  • Ability to travel 30%, phased with project milestones

  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Functional/technical proficiency with at least 2+ full life cycle SAP IBP or SCM implementations and 5+ years of industry and/or consulting experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience implementing SAP SCM in DP and S&OP

  • Experience defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

  • Strong business knowledge of various industries with good functional understanding.

  • Understanding of SAP functional areas interdependencies (Supply Chain, Sales and distribution, Material Management, Production Planning, Warehouse and Master Data Management).

  • Bachelor's degree/ master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, Supply Chain Management.

Gas Headquarters - Atlanta, GA * Virginia Natural Gas - Virginia Beach, VA * Nicor Gas Headquarters - Naperville, IL JOB SUMMARY The Demand Planning Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Demand Planning. The main responsibilities of this position are to partner with cross-functional business teams to establish short- and long-term demand planning requirements and supply forecasts, act as the point of contact for large capital project business leaders and work closely with Category Managers to ensure that the optimal sourcing strategies are adopted by business to achieve overall operational excellence. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Facilitate the demand planning process with identified Business Units. * Perform thorough analysis and data requests to support the demand planning process through meetings with internal customers to understand their business future needs, requirements, and plans; determining the impact of external supply base; analyzing historical demand; and forecasting future demand. * Translate business plans into SCM services and materials/equipment demand planning and forecasts. * Evaluate challenges in meeting demand, identify supply risks and update demand planning and forecast. * Act as the point of contact for business partners to ensure that the optimal sourcing approach is adopted, and the optimal lower total cost of meeting business requirements is obtained. * Support SCM Category and Inventory management initiatives and strategies to leverage company expenditures and drive business partners to standardization in materials and service sourcing activities. * Work with business partners to develop and manage tools necessary to track demand planning and supply forecasting. * Accountable for documentation of the benefits of Total Cost of Ownership for Supplier Alliance Partnerships, delivering the best value and mitigating risks to the organization. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management. * MBA preferred. Experience: * 3-5 years of demand forecast, supply planning experience. * 3-5 years of project management experience is a plus. Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships and develop a collaborative working relationship across the spectrum of leadership levels. * Possess advanced analytical skills. * Proven ability to analyze and consolidate large volumes of data, and to turn data into actionable insights. * Data extraction and data mining from internal and external systems. * Keen attention to detail. * Possess at least intermediate level of skills in Strategy Development, Strategy Execution, Project Management, Relationship Building & Influencing, Communication, Presentation, Team Building, Cultural Awareness, and Change Management. * Possess skills in Supplier Relationship Management and Facilitation. * Hands on knowledge of Gas utility operations preferred. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Proven ability and determination to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. * Organizational savvy, ability to influence and inspire others, foster collaboration and partnerships.
