Targa is currently seeking a Lead Analyst IT PMO for their corporate office in Houston, TX.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, stakeholders, and project team members

  • Provide leadership on IT projects of varying size and complexity

  • Accountable for the definition, planning, scheduling, execution and successful completion of assigned projects

  • Lead development and approval of documentation necessary to initiate IT projects (internal Statement of Works (SoW), vendor SoW/exhibits, Authorization for Approval (AFE), etc.)

  • Identify risk factors and contingency plans, communicate project status and critical risk factors to stakeholders, and escalate issues to adjust project scope, resources, or timelines

  • Consult directly with resource managers to confirm resource availability and allocations

  • Collaborate with architecture and operational teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards

  • Ensure that the project team understands and adheres to established project delivery methods

  • Manage project tasks to achieve designated milestones and timelines

  • Ensure accuracy of project charges and time reporting, report variances, and provide financial forecasts

  • Ensure project management best practices are applied to all project areas, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, and communications

  • Document lessons learned and incorporate findings into future projects

  • Develop and follow appropriate transition plans to move projects from integration to ongoing support

  • Ensure that assigned projects are completed within estimated hours, established completion dates, and approved budget

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, stakeholders, and project team members

  • Ensure the business customer receives the solution as identified in business requirements and scope of the project

  • Perform all responsibilities within IT policies and directives at or above performance and evaluation standards

Minimum Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Engineering and/or equivalent work experience in a related field

  • 5-6 years of IT and/or related industry work experience, with at least 2 years of experience managing IT projects

  • Proficient in Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies

  • Ability to deliver quality results timely and consistently

  • Excellent written and oral communications including the ability to present to business leaders

  • Ability to proactively engage the right stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome

  • Time management skills and multitasking capabilities to handle multiple concurrent projects

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish relationships and work across a large, cross-functional organization

  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts and the ability to follow problem, change, and incident management processes and procedures

  • Detail oriented and able to drive results in the face of ambiguity and challenges

  • Self-starter who is well organized and is an effective proactive leader who takes initiative in meeting personal, departmental, and corporate goals

  • Ability to deliver quality results timely and consistently

  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience in an IT related field.

  • PMP, MPM, CPM, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, Six Sigma or equivalent certification

  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically midstream.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote company field locations (up to 5%)
