Role: Lead Advisory/Subject Matter Expert for Accounting - Lease, Revenue Recognition and Analytics
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Bramasol is based in Santa Clara, California, but candidates can live anywhere in the U.S.
The resource should be open for travel upto 75% business expenses paid.

Job Description:
Position Overview:
Solid understanding of the new accounting rules including ASC606/IFRS15 and ASC842/IFRS16
Provide expertise in reporting and analytics relating to revenue and asset management
Works as a liaison between IT team and Revenue accounting team
Translate accounting policies and business requirements to system requirements
Works with client accounting team to understand the impacts of the new regulatory and accounting changes
Document white papers and provide point of view documents of the interpretation of the accounting rules
Provide support to projects as a technical accounting and analytics advisor
Primary Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Works with the project technical team to help understand the business and accounting requirements
Works with client project team on project delivery during assessment of the contracts, master data, interpretation of the accounting policies as it relates to the client organization
Resolves critical business and accounting questions as it relates to current GAAP/IFRS and new GAAP/IFRS rules
Works with technical project managers to help define transition methods suitable for the client
Work with project engagement team to prepare workshop materials, conduct client workshops, present white papers in seminars and forums and other social networks
Create and publish blogs, white papers, podcasts, etc positioning themselves and Bramasol as thought leaders
Collaborate with SAP and Nakisa on technical accounting issues and provide support for product reviews and quality assurance
Work on client project engagement to identify disclosure and reporting requirements to comply with the new regulations
Build accelerators and models for disclosure reporting dashboard by working with Bramasol IT team
Required Skills and

Strong understanding of the current and new accounting rules and its changes, such as ASC605/ASC606 and ASC842/IFRS16
Ability to create workshop materials and conduct client workshops
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment including Bramasol IT team, Client revenue accounting team and business
Ability to travel to client and or company sites on requests by company executives with or without notice period
Self-starter who looks for opportunities to position Bramasol as a thought leader in the Compliance Space
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Accounting with CPA
Over 15- 20 years of experience either as an accountant, controller
Knowledge of SAP desirable
Professional Certification CPA or equivalent
