UT Regional One Physicians is currently seeking a#Lead Advanced Practice Provider, OB/GYN. Summary: The Lead Advanced Practice Provider, Women#s Services is fundamental to the development, implementation and evaluation of Women#s Services.# This position will collaborate with Women#s Services #leadership to set specific goals for Advance Practice Practitioners.# In addition to administrative duties, serves as liaison between all members of acute care services and throughout the continuum of care.# # Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.# Additional training may be required for specialty areas.# Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.


Experience Requirement:


Twenty-four (24) months clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.# Demonstrated ability to independently work and make clinical assessments.# Additional experience may be required in assigned specialty area. # Licensure/Certification Requirement: Nurse Practitioner certification or registry eligible required.# Current licensure as RN in State of Tennessee.# Additional certification in specialty areas may be required (i.e., Family Nurse Practitioner, OB Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Nurse Practitioner).# Eligible for Certificate of Fitness (Prescriptive privileges) in State of Tennessee required.# BLS required.


Key Job Responsibilities:


Collaborates with Womens Services leadership to set specific goals for Advanced Practice Practitioners. # Maintains and oversees all work related schedules for Womens Services. # Serves as liaison for Womens Services to develop and review policy and procedures for Advanced Practice Practitioner Staff in Womens Services # Works with UTROP and ROH leadership on budget and division priorities. # Periodically evaluates Advanced Practice Practitioners overall job performance. Oversees the staff in role development and implementation as a team. # Provides leadership for overall quality and improved patient outcomes. Maintains open communication with nursing staff and multi-disciplinary team in order to provide effective patient care. # Provides leadership in quality of care, program evaluation and utilization review. Respect patients# cultural, racial, spiritual and ethnic backgrounds. Provides compassionate care and act as a patient advocate. Works with Case Managers to improve discharge planning and placement of patients. # Assists with Advanced Practice Practitioner recruitment and hiring process. # Provides supervision of care rendered to patients by Advanced Practice Practitioners in Women#s Services. # # # # Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to develop, present, implement and maintain activities of a new and growing clinical service.# Ability to display compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy to patients and family to ensure positive customer relations through caring behaviors. Demonstrates skill in the use of applicable equipment. Initiative and mature judgment required; is able to work without direct supervision; shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations; presents a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times. Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions; ability to communicate effectively with others including patients and staff; ability to react and perform under stress in emergency situations; ability to effectively record and reflect observations. Ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done; ability to plan and organize work for self and others. Exceptional organizational skills are mandatory. Ability and willingness to develop, organize and present written reports and presentations.


Supervision Provided by this Job:


Serves in a lead capacity Physical Demands/Conditions: Constant walking, standing; lifting and positioning patients/equipment; exposure to infectious agents.# Visual acuity is needed to access color changes.# Heavy Work

  • Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects.# (May be further defined as #with or without assistance.#)
