It's About the Food. As the largest self-supported food service department in North Texas, UNT Dining Services offers 5 Dining Halls, 20+ retail venues, an upscale dining restaurant, a hydroponic garden, a central scratch bakery, and catering service-all led by professionally-trained chefs and hospitality experts.

UNT is recognized as a national leader in university dining due to the department's innovative, trendsetting approach to food service and award-winning culinary talent. UNT operates Mean Greens Café, the nation's first 100% vegan collegiate Dining Hall, and Kitchen West, Texas' first and only university Dining Hall Certified Free From the Big 8 Food Allergens and Gluten Kitchens with Confidence. In early 2021, UNT opened its first standalone Dining Hall, Eagle Landing, inspired by urban food halls and home to seven unique restaurant concepts, all available for a single Meal Plan swipe.

UNT was named No. 2 in the nation as a college with the best food by Delish.com and is also the recipient of the prestigious Loyal E. Position Overview

The office staff of Clark Bakery, known as "Team Admins," are primarily in charge of scheduling and managing the bakeries' other part-time employees. They also serve as hiring managers and are always present in the office to answer any questions an employee may have during their shift. They occasionally help out on the bakery floor when needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

1.Admin appearance: all admins should serve as an example by wearing the proper uniform.

2.Attendance: marks down call-ins and notifies supervisors.

3.Scheduling: updates and refines the schedule of all part-time employees as needed.

4.Hiring; conducts interviews, guides new hires through the hiring process, and gives first-day tours.

5.Maintains a clean and orderly office all day.

6.Delivers invoices to Dining Services headquarters at the UNT Welcome Center.

7.Answers employees' questions or refers them to the appropriate resource.

8.Communicate with employees and departments within Dining Services via email and phone.

Appearance: must be in uniform before clocking in and out

  • Name tag on the right upper chest

Hair groomed and restrained. Must wear UNT Dining Services hat and apron (if helping on the bakery floor)

Minimum Qualifications

There are no minimum education or experience requirements. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain records and complete forms accurately.

  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: collecting cash and making change).

  • Knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen utensils.

  • Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service and necessary precautionary measures.

  • Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

  • Experience in food service.

  • Experience in cash handling
