Essential Job Functions:

  • Listen and address the needs of patients as evidenced by company standards and policies.

  • Answer the phones and communicate patient's needs to the Opticians and Optical Technicians.

  • Efficiently take orders for contact lenses, create contact lens encounters, and order lenses from ABB or another supplier.

  • Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with their plan's available benefits and costs.

  • Sell and create encounters for accessories.

  • Learn the lensometer.

  • Oversee Frame Inventory.

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position based in Wildwood, FL.

  • Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

  • Travel to other locations as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to adequately address patient needs (required)
  • Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
