Hunton Andrews Kurth, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Lawyer Recruiting Administrator in the Washington, DC office. The Lawyer Recruiting Administrator works in conjunction with other members of the Lawyer Recruiting and Development department to oversee lawyer recruitment, lawyer resources, diversity-related initiatives and professional development for the DC and Boston offices.

This position manages and provides an array of complex and confidential functions with a high degree of proficiency on behalf of the firm's management and strategic plan implementation. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1. Manages all aspects of the summer associate program in accordance with firm-wide policies and practices.

Prepares Summer Associate orientation materials, including information about firm policies & procedures, firm literature and other information pertinent to the Summer Associates' employment. Coordinates the assignment of Summer Associate offices and secretarial support for the Summer Associates with Human Resources/Office Administration. Together with the Hiring Partner and Recruiting Committee determines the schedule of summer events.

Reviews former Summer Associates' evaluations of previous summer functions, budgetary restrictions, lawyer participation, and timing restrictions. Coordinates all summer events, including scheduling, reservations, transportation, and attorney participation including providing assistance with firm-wide summer events when necessary. 2. Manages and coordinates the work of the Law School Ambassadors for assigned schools, and assists with research, annual business plan, budget and scheduled events and activities for each school.

Advances professional relationship with assigned law schools and develops creative recruiting strategies. 3. Ensures that all firm-wide response times are met as to all candidates at various stages in the recruiting process. Schedules appointments for candidates interviewing in the office and ensures completion of all required paperwork in keeping with best practices.

Arranges attorney participation in interview process, and prepares and distributes interview schedules electronically, along with candidate credentials. Ensures that each candidate is appropriately welcomed upon his/her arrival to the office. Explains interview schedule to candidate and answers questions.

Meets with candidates to recap interviews and answer questions following full round of interviews. Collects and compiles evaluations of candidates from lawyers for the office Recruiting Committee or the hiring practice group/team. 4. Determines office entry-level and judicial clerkship hiring needs.

Consults with office hiring partners regularly to provide feedback regarding entry-level hiring needs. Keeps all relevant parties apprised of the needs of the office. 5. Supports lateral associate recruiting efforts for the Administrative Law Group, Energy and Infrastructure Team and Tax and ERISA teams when necessary, including requisition requests and new hire forms, job and web postings, applicant review and scheduling.

Assist with processing and review of online applicants as needed, including sending applicant materials to attorneys for review, and coordinating interviews for candidates, including contacting attorneys to secure their availability for interviews and set up email confirmation letters to candidates and managing LawCruit interview reminders, schedule changes, and evaluation reminders for attorneys on the schedules. Responds to general inquiries regarding the application process as needed. Follows up with applicants as necessary.

Prepares cut letters for interviewees. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of job related experience required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Other Qualifications:

Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility.

Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication.
