The Law School is looking for a pool of students interested in providing tutoring to other students. Law tutors will provide substantive tutoring regarding a specific course, study skills training or both to other law students.
1.Current KU Law School Student enrolled in at least 6-hours and in good academic standing and will be enrolled as a JD law student during the semester they will be tutoring.
2.Tutors who provide substantive tutoring regarding a specific course must also have completed that course.
1.Demonstrated excellence in Law School, especially in regards to the specific Law School course that is the tutoring subject.
A complete electronic application will include a cover letter and resume.
Please address the cover letter to Professor Six. The cover letter should identify in which academic terms you are interested in tutoring and if you have specific courses you are particularly interested in tutoring for.
This is a POOL posting. Review of applications will be ongoing and hires will be made as needed throughout the posting period.
Review of applications begins on September 11, 2018 and continues as needed to collect a pool of qualified applicants. Positions will begin as they become available.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Must require a flexible schedule, consisting of 1-3 hours per week.
