The Law School is looking for a pool of students interested in providing tutoring to other students. Law tutors will provide substantive tutoring regarding a specific course, study skills training or both to other law students.

Required Qualifications

1.Current KU Law School Student enrolled in at least 6-hours and in good academic standing and will be enrolled as a JD law student during the semester they will be tutoring.
2.Tutors who provide substantive tutoring regarding a specific course must also have completed that course.

Preferred Qualifications

1.Demonstrated excellence in Law School, especially in regards to the specific Law School course that is the tutoring subject.

This is a POOL posting. Review of applications will be ongoing and hires will be made as needed throughout the posting period.

Review of applications begins on September 11, 2018 and continues as needed to collect a pool of qualified applicants. Positions will begin as they become available.

During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Work Schedule

Must require a flexible schedule, consisting of 1-3 hours per week.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: * Developing, leading and instructing participants through yoga group fitness sessions to include a proper warm up, workout, and cool down. * Preparing class choreography & plans in advance. * Recording participation numbers. * Implementing risk management procedures when necessary. * Assisting with good housekeeping by keeping studio, equipment, and equipment closets tidy. * Assisting with special events and contract classes. * Accurately documenting and completing payroll by the Sunday prior to pay date. * Obtain and maintain proper CPR/AED certification. Participation in "Rec Alert" CPR/AED drills. * Substituting when able. * Attending monthly meetings. * Prompt communication via email. * Promptly alerting Fitness/Wellness Coordinator with any concerns or questions. * Promptly alerting Fitness/Wellness Coordinator of broken/malfunctioning equipment, program concerns, and/or if unable to perform duties as scheduled. Required Qualifications * Possess current CPR/AED certification, or willing to obtain within 4 weeks of employment. * Professional fitness certification from a nationally recognized organizations such as Yoga Fit, Yoga Alliance etc. accepted.
