As a Law Enforcement Response Manager leading a team focused on protecting user data while responding responsibly to law enforcement requests, you will work alongside our Legal, Public Policy and Communications teams, as well as collaborating globally with other cross-functional partners to provide world-class support to a high functioning team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and personable candidate to respond to a range of government agencies, driving strategic safety efforts and coordinating enforcement responses with law enforcement in the region. You will have the ability to concentrate on the nitty gritty details that need improvement while also communicating a high level narrative to management and relevant teams. You are a self-starter with a can-do attitude who isn't afraid to roll your sleeves up, can work in a rapidly changing industry, tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. The ideal candidate has relevant experience working with Legal in the process of authenticating records in U.S. court proceedings, with some experience working within international legal systems, as well as operational experience to make informed decisions that improve process and product while protecting our valued community.
Role & Responsibilities
7+ years of relevant work experience, including 3 years hands-on management experience or relevant senior level Law Enforcement response function at a similar company or legal agency
Knowledge and experience related to data protection legislation and online investigations
Experience testifying or authenticating records in court
Experience working with data protection authorities, financial institutions, and policing agencies
Flexibility and willingness to travel and work off hours, including weekends and occasionally holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with company employees based globally
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Manage a small team of LE response agents and effective relationships with law enforcement and governmental authorities across the North America region
Work closely with Legal teams on response to law enforcement and government requests for user data
Work with Airbnb Trust and Safety teams to develop and refer relevant matters to law enforcement authorities
Assist Airbnb's wider Law Enforcement team in the development and execution of policies relating to the processing of legal requests from law enforcement authorities globally
