Salary Range: $60,000 - $62,500

Contract days: 187

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements (Law Enforcement) including vocational certification; Bachelors degree or Associates degree from a accredited university and have an approved Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) verifying two (2) years of full-time wage-earning experience

  • Experience must be within the past ten (10) years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered

  • Must hold Valid License appropriate for the assignment (TCLEOSE License or comparable Law Enforcement certification)

  • Accepted to or have completed an approved educator preparation program

  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States

  • Demonstrated competency in the occupation or skill trade area assigned

  • Must be willing to join an approved ACP program and pass approcpriate exam(s) to become a certified teacher

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of occupation or skilled trade assigned

  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction

  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Copy of College/University transcript with applicable degree posted

  • Copy of Texas teaching certificate with required endorsement

(Or) Copy of letter of acceptance from alternative certification program with the SOQ - Statement of Qualifications

and Copy of Current TCLEOSE License or comparable Law Enforcement certification

  • Copy of driver's license

  • Current resume
